Falkland Travel Poster
Falkland, is a village, parish and former royal burgh in Fife, Scotland, at the foot of the Lomond Hills. It was also used to portray the city of Inverness in the popular TV series 'Outlander' where Claire and Frank arrive on their second honeymoon. Falkland was also a favourite of the singer-songwriter Johnny Cash following a chance discovery that his family name was indelibly linked to the rural community and the neighbouring settlement of Strathmiglo.
This illustration shows the parish church and Bruce fountain, the fountain where in the Outlander show, Jamie Fraser’s ghost stood next to, and looked up at Claire in the hotel.
