Maidens Print
Maidens is a beautiful little coastal village with a lovely long sandy beach and grass foreshore. It is in the Kirkoswald parish of Ayrshire, Scotland, situated on the coast of the Firth of Clyde, where a series of rocks known as the "Maidens” form a natural harbour. Many years ago it was where my family and I spent many summer holidays there, in a caravan site near the beach. I recall one year when the beach was covered in jellyfish. Although this print doesn't have any jellyfish it does have some of the wildlife you might encounter there such as the kingfisher, arctic tern, blue tit, swallow, osprey, squirrel, magpie, crow, seagull, blackbird and more.
